An NK drawer bottom is much stronger than a conventional drawer bottom-panel of solid wood that is retained only by the groove in the drawer-sides and maybe some slips because the NK bottom is glued to the sides all-round. For easily cleaned kitchenbath drawer bottoms I have used 18 hardboard with another thickness of 18 white or almond epoxy-covered tempered hardboard meant for shower surrounds. They are only used with bottom app bars. Drawers are typically made with matching plywood bottoms. Drawer sides are prefinished and edgebanded on the top side 58 thick and are available in 96 lengths and 6 widths.
